Where: In a mysterious area of low lying lakes surrounded by lush water meadows, herons and other wild fowl, but just off the M42, J9/J10 and near Tamworth.
What: An astounding complex of ancient buildings formed around a moated medieval manor house, with its moat fully intact and full of water. This unique place was then ‘gentrified’ in the 18th Century giving some very grand interior spaces indeed. There are also walled gardens, lakes and lawns if you’d like to push the boat out and have a marquee or tipi.
Weddings: Fully licenced for civil ceremonies – this is the place to make a ‘grand entrance’ (like Scarlet O’Hara in ‘Gone with the Wind’) as you descend the main staircase to gasps from your guests.
