Where: In the leafy suburbs of East Birmingham just off the M6, but a million miles from anywhere.
What: An amazing 10 acres of a superbly maintained and blissful 18th Century formal, walled garden. Wild flowers abound in the vicinity, whilst period flowers and vegetables are laid out in formal beds. The whole place is utter tranquillity – an oasis of beauty and calm in a sea of urban life – needs to be seen to be believed.
Weddings: Not licensed, but the nearby 17th Century church and hotel (the former ‘big house’) both are. Great site for a marquee or a tipi-based reception in utterly amazing surroundings.
Who: Your contact at this venue is uber-enthusiastic Glynis Powell or Sue Brain and both are available on 0121 749 4100 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
