Where: Perched in absolute splendour, high above the green and fertile Trent Valley in a superb landscaped park. Easy for Junction 14 or 15 of the M6.
What: We know some venues, but this one is the bees knees – The truly magical 18th Century stone and brick house in The Palladian style looks and feels like a real fairytale palace.. next door is the Medieval (redundant) church now wonderfully restored and imaginatively turned into a fabulous venue that will seat up to 120 people for a perfect wedding breakfast. OR put up your own marquee in the extensive (and stunning) grounds.
Weddings: The church has been restored but is in fact now deconsecrated, but you can hold a non-religious ceremony there with a celebrant, then a short stroll across crunchy gravel takes you to either the sunken gardens, and/or the astounding 18th century house for your drinks/canapes.. meanwhile the Church has been transformed into a dining area.. or onto the marquee.
