Where: In the leafy suburbs of East Birmingham just off the M6 (junction 5), but a million miles from anywhere.
What: An amazing 10 acres of a superbly maintained, unchanged, blissful 18th Century formal, Grade 11* walled garden. Wild flowers abound in the vicinity, whilst ancient species of flowers and vegetables are laid out in formal beds. The whole place is an oasis of beauty and calm in a sea of urban life and needs to be seen to be believed… and WARM GLOW TIME – if you have your wedding here you’ll be assisting the Charity that runs the place using local volunteers!
Weddings: Not licensed, but the nearby 17th Century church and hotel (the former ‘big house’) both are. Great site for a marquee or a tipi-based reception in utterly amazing surroundings with all the help you need [if you need it] from the wonderful staff on site.
Who: Your contact at this venue is uber-enthusiastic Glynis Powell or Sue Brain and both are available on 0121 749 4100 or by e-mail at weddingsinthegarden@gmail.com.
