Sandon Hall

What: Superb stately home in huge open parkland.. lawns, space, follies, flowers.

Weddings: You can get married in any of three rooms within the house (or in the isolated, Romantic medieval church, 500 yards away). Those couples then wishing to hold their reception in a marquee (on the superb lawns) are free to choose their own independent caterers. NB: this is not currently mentioned on the Sandon Hall website, so do ask when enquiring.

Idlerocks Farm, Hilderstone, Nr Stone

Mrs Barbara Dixon is happy to rent out a one acre flat meadow (with parking) for you to site your marquee. Halston Hall

What: A magnificent Grade 1 listed country house in farmed parkland. Behind the house is a huge lawn leading to a two long winding lakes. Across the lakes is a half-timbered medieval chapel in total isolation. What a place to site your marquee! There is also room in the house for smaller functions.

Stoop Farm

Osmaston Park

What: A huge stately estate with everything apart from the big house.. so think sweeping lawns, ornamental lakes, perfect terraces etc. etc.

Weddings:  A huge marquee has been erected on the site (and is included in the price). Its sited where the big house was, so the views across the lake and the woods are world-class, and will take your breath away. Its not licensed for weddings but Ashbourne Town Hall is only 3 miles away.

Meynell Langley

Where: A superb country estate in southern Derbyshire, Near Kedleston, between Ashbourne and Derby.

What: Big house in landscaped deerpark and views that go on forever.

Weddings: Two ancient and characterful rooms within the house are licensed for weddings. You then have an amazing flat lawn to the side of the house for a marquee.

Woodthorpe Hall

What: Private seventeenth Century country house on the edge of the Peak District in North Derbyshire.

Weddings: Woodthorpe Hall is set in a large colourful garden on the edge of the Peak National Park near Sheffield.
Ceremonies are conducted in the ciderpress with covered seating for 80 guests.
The beautiful gardens can host a marquee reception for up to 150 people and there are fantastic locations for photographs.
